What is a treatment like? A detailed health history is always obtained from the client on his / her first appointment. An analysis is made, to assess your current health status and a specific treatment plan is designed. The treatment is deeply relaxing. You don't realise how much tension builds up in the muscles of your face – tensions which can permeate the entire body. You use your face hundreds of times a day to laugh, eat, talk, frown, express and suppress emotion: all these result in an accumulation of facial and body muscle tension that the deep releasing strokes of facial reflexology will steadily aim to dissipate over a course of treatment, achieving a corresponding improvement in your overall sense of well-being. Every session commences with the stimulation of facial acupuncture points to enervate the nerves, lymphatic and blood circulation of the face. We then proceed with a series of different treatment procedures on face maps, which are tailored to your needs. These represent your twelvemajor Chinese energy meridians, your physical and psychological aspects. Through these maps, the brain, energetic and nerve system is stimulated and the re-balancing process initiated. Cranial lines and points are also used where appropriate. A treatment normally last from 45 to 50 minutes. The therapy is appropriate for clients of all ages including children (who respond particularly quickly) and those with disability.
